This calculator is considered a Computer Algebra System or CAS for short. This calculator can manipulate equations in the same way algebra is solved by hand. This allows you to check and verify that you’ve obtained the correct result when solving a problem. The Algebra Calculator has easy to understand icons that will help you to navigate the options. The top menu bar contains all the functions of the calculator. Each function includes math equations that will solve your problem. The menus are separated by topic for ease of use. Equations are commonly used in Algebra. Equations allow you to show your work and the process you used to obtain an answer. What is an equation? An equation is a set of numbers that will get you to the solution. Equations contain an equal’s sign. There is normally data on each side of the equation. Equations also contain a math operation such as addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. There is usually a variable that can be changed or customized to give you the result you are looking for. Equation results will change depending on the variable you use, but the process to get there is the same. To evaluate an equation, turn on the Eval key, and the equation will be evaluated. To graph an equation, just set it equal to “y”. For example, you can input y=2x^x-4x+2 and the calculator will display the graph. If you have an equation as a result, you may hover over (on desktop) or tap (on mobile) and the result will display with a graph icon. Another function of the Algebra Calculator is approximating a decimal. In order to do this turn on the = key and the result will be provided as a decimal. There are unlimited functions on the calculator. The longer you use the calculator the more comfortable you will be and the more functions you will begin utilizing. Take advantage of the Examples menu. This menu provides example equations for each function. This will help you understand the correct input on the calculator.
